History of the Coin: This coin ring is made from an 1880's British Shilling sterling silver coin. The Victoria Jubilee head Shilling is over 120 years old, sterling silver, and a coin that all collectors know and admire the world over. Struck for the Queen's Golden Jubilee (celebration of 50 a monarch's 50 year reign) this coin is part of a number of coins produced to celebrate the occasion with a brand new portrait of Victoria starting in the year 1887.
